Wine Tour

Week 3:
I went on a wine tour with a group of girls and one guy from Bond (they are from Massachusetts and go to school at Northeastern) . The tour was called Cork'n Fork Winery Tours in the Tamborine District. It was an all day event.... we tasted 5-10 wines at 5 boutique wineries and at the 'smallest distillery in the world.' I got to taste many different sparkling white and sparkling red wines, white wines, and red wines throughout the day. At the distillery we tried several different liquers, schnapps, vodkas, or Eau De Vie. My favorite was a chocolate mint schnapps. SO GOOD! All of the bottles at the distillery were hand painted and one of the ladies on the trip gave each one of us a bottle for free which was a very nice treat. Also, we were served a delicious lunch at one of the wineries along with a good Australian dessert! YUM! At the end of the day I learned alot about different wines and I'm a little more experienced...but still no expert. I definitely look forward to doing another wine tour in the future. I got to take many pictures and the tambourine mountains were beautiful...the green landscape reminded me somewhat of visiting Ireland! Definitely a good day trip :)
